The Heart Chakra and the Hard Headed Businessman

By the time I attested to the efficacy of a yoga system, I was able to afford it. The Iyengar Yoga Centre in Maida Vale had a wall chart of progress and how long it would take to develop confidence to accept instruction in Pranayama. A Buddhist Monk pulled me aside and advanced me and my best mate to a spiritual interlude by inviting us to an Intermediate Saturday Workshop. Pranayama was our own advancement and we were authentic, just not conventional. Our spiritual acceptance was of our Yo-Guy. We did not want to stand on any toes.

As I walked home that evening, I recalled my isolation from the performance of ‘A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream’ we watched with dramatic friends starring at The Barbican in London afterwards. I could not tell anyone about the vision I had walking along Liverpool Street. The eeriness of a Post-Apocalyptic nightmare passed me by. No streets are convincingly so silent. But some need to master work/life balance and switch off on a Saturday.

And the “hard headed businessman” from the Wilcoxes vs The Schlegels and dramas at Howards End makes Forsterian wisdom an ever present and happily distant reality. One day, is theirs. The visions of Henry Ford and noble American will tear down trade walls that demand massive legal accomplishments. It will take time to mature this confident vision and insight.

And yoga can play a part in that. It just may not be without passing through trial and error of its own with a sadism misapplied to tortuous regimes by insurance firms frenzied by posture and platitude. They have been taking our data anyway and it’s presence is as “old as the Marabar Hills themselves”. I’m just not too sure that legal solutions to Patents and Processes are safe in the long run given life expectancy and pregnancy issues. Restorative Poses are not Dynamic Flow Yoga and believing self-made men stories of “Shiva The Destroyer” is just to not read Indian Scriptures.

And now “Shiva The Destroyer” is compatible with complacency and comic books. That is not the First Cause of combustion engines or Evolutionary Impulses I have been blogging about a lot recently. My Yoga is at large. Westminster have employed Naga Munchetty on the BBC for the UK. And from witnessing Andrew Cohen at EnlightenNext telling me to put my pen down in public (for his Intellectual Property) that is enough.

Hopefully the odd literary reference from me will guide the reader towards a safer perimeter. They can choose to navigate what my mum told me to call ‘Surviving The Spiritual and Intellectual Minefield’. Or they can leave it alone.

Racism and literary prejudices are safer guides to the likely issue of Sex being foregrounded as preliminaries from ‘Pride’ and ‘Original Sin’ within Eves on quests to-and-from Adams seeking and finding forgiving behaviour. And I have had those experiences to.

But I am not impressed with any assertion of a world dominated by Medical Dictionaries. They boot my apology for present Christian Rules and slander me for past lives they have never accepted.

Hippocrates belongs here with Oaths and Alcohol at Medical School for the doctrine of Tabula Rasa. It comes before Platonic Forms and The Contemporary. It limits Baby Jesus out of Everyman Publishers. And everybody Matthew, Mark, Luke and John spoke amongst themselves about is forgotten. Allah will reach them and ‘help’ Buddha ‘help’ Jesus to ‘help’  do no harm.

Lawyers reach for documents and deny the computer. Yoga is one with God, they will “says”.

Lawyers know their temporality all to well. Yoga is built to last. It is, however, defined by me. And I continue. Law lays down (my) Law and I find new rules to play Anti_Authoritarian with in Mind Body and Spirit.

And that was 2 years worth of postgraduate study and legal feelings from my own skyscraper where I worked as a trainee. I then left the Institutional and met the Psyches who left me Mysore style Ashtanga and I am stronger for it. But Yoga is not systematic unless there is a career in it for a teacher. There may just be a problem that Carers want their careers too.
