“We’re all just walking each other home.” ~ Ram Dass
“Wooden Heart”, by Listener, have you heard it? Here is your chance, if you haven’t:
I remember the first time I heard this song (which flows more poetically, like spoken word, than a song). I happened upon it on YouTube one day whilst browsing, a number of years ago. When I listened to it for the first time, I remember crying…like a baby…for hours on end!
Those tears that fell were a release that I apparently needed. A release that came from caverns hidden deep within. This song’s lyrics had literally just summed up my life!
And while the lyrics resonated, then (and still do to this day, very much so) I relate to that “wooden heart” in fact, I feel that I myself have one. A heart tossed upon the Sea of life’s emotional waves.
A heart that remembers, even when it might rather forget. A heart that loves and by loving, thus lives.
