Last week, the world took to the streets to protest the climate crisis.
I went to the march here in Dublin and watched as (mostly) schoolkids and adults filled up Merrion Square near the city centre. I listened as two young girls shouted into the microphone with such passion, one of the two’s voices cracking as she said, “Kids have had to start acting like adults. Rising up to take control of our future.”
It was inspiring. It was heartbreaking. And it reminded me that there are a whole load of people out there who do give a damn—and it’s stemming from our youth.
These signs gave me hope. Some of them also gave me a good laugh.
