“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”
The world is my family
Sanskrit proverb
With modern science, man has created many double-edged swords, which can create a much higher quality of life for all of mankind or else plunge mankind into devastation and destruction. Nuclear power might, with careful planning, provide a massive increase in inexpensive energy, or it can be used to build weapons that can destroy not just all of mankind, but pollute the entire planet for thousands of years.
Man can grow crops using chemicals that may multiply the amount of crop yield, through agrichemicals. This type of agriculture may produce more crops, but it may also kill the animals and microorganisms in the soil and it may in turn destroy the insects including bees which are needed to pollinate the crops. By reducing the ecosystem within the soil, the plants may miss important nutrients which are needed both by themselves and by those who eat them. The microbiome of the soil also helps develop healthy pro-biotics in man, which in turn, according to recent science, connects with and increases the brain functioning and inner intelligence of man.
Mankind can manipulate genomes by combining interspecies DNA or even inter-phylum DNA into new organisms which they sell as food. But the long-range effect on the diner may be disruptive and damaging to both the organisms and to the person or animal that eats them. There is a study showing that bees may become disoriented after they get an immune response to the BT (Bacillus thuringiensis) toxin in genetically modified crops. They then become unable to find their way back to their hives, a major cause of collapse of bee hives called colony collapse disorder. (Cox, Foster, et. al. Scientific American, 2009). This is one of the major causes of reduction of bees across the world.
Man may make automobiles many ways… powered by electricity or powered by water or powered by gasoline products. With gasoline products, it may be easy to get these products and produce energy, but the pollution may damage the environment, the health of people in big cities, and may support and promote global warming.
Mankind is at a point in its collective evolution, where man must use his intelligence and decide in advance not to do activities predominantly for money or power, or other selfish reasons, but for the good of the whole planet first. If one thinks first of the whole planet, then one may, in that context, feel free to go ahead and do activities that secondarily will produce wealth or power.
There are so many products of modern science that can be very dangerous for the individual and mankind if wrongly used, used in a way that damages the individual or the environment.
It is now time for mankind to rise to that level of life where one can make a clear decision to only do and engage in activities and only produce products that support the individual and the environment.
Any one of the activities discussed above can destroy mankind or the eco-system. Anyone can find a modern scientific technology in any area of life that can damage the individual or all of mankind or the eco-system.
It is time to be able to start only life-supporting technologies and also to have the broad awareness to stop doing something that proves wrong for the individual or mankind if new evidence arises.
We can no longer act like an animal and wait for the results to strike us down. We must act with insight and intelligence and foresight to modern science discoveries only in the life-supporting direction or to stop using any approach that proves dangerous.
One example of the problem of modern science is the threats of global warming, caused by any number of pollutants, including carbon dioxide. 98% of weather scientists have concluded that temperatures are rising dangerously due to man-made pollutants and that the resultant warming may raise the level of the ocean, create much more turbulent and damaging weather, destroy many species, higher levels of CO2, etc.
This is the time where national boundaries with national policies made by men of limited vision, nationalism, needs to evolve into a global vision of what is good for all of mankind, global patriotism.
The United Nations represents an organization that was founded to support the entire world in peace and progress.
Now, with a rapid rise in global warming created by man-made pollution, mankind as a whole must rise up to stop its own wrong decision and wrong actions which support massive global pollution and its negative effects around the world. If global warming is to be stopped or properly managed, mankind will need to use sustainable energy sources, grow forests, and reduce and eliminate pollution. This is no longer a problem of one nation, but of one world.
This action is not required for just one nation to carry out, but by all nations, the entire world.
Greta Thunberg is one voice beckoning mankind to act for global patriotism, the future of this world.
So many other voices speak for the environment, or organic agriculture, or electric cars, or solar and wind-powered energy in homes and offices or GMO free crops and organisms for healthy food sources that will not risk the health of those who eat these organisms.
With this change in the environment through mankind’s abuse of modern science, it is now time for the rise of global patriotism. It should not be acceptable that the President of Brazil allows the Amazon Rainforest to be burn down. It should not be acceptable that the President of Japan allows nuclear plants run-off into the ocean to pollute the ocean with all of its fish and all of its organisms. Even the water itself in the ocean will rise in nuclear waste and the dangers that go with that.
Global patriotism now requires mankind as a whole to grow in inner intelligence and stop doing what is wrong before it damages the planet.
Global patriotism may come through the international administration of the United Nations, or through large Movements to inspire right action such as that of Greta Thunberg, or it may come through the transformation of global consciousness by directly raising world consciousness through mental technologies such as the Transcendental Meditation (TM) and its advanced programs. Over 420 peer- reviewed, evidence-based articles in scientific journals show not only that TM produces effective stress reduction, broader comprehension with wide-ranging benefits for mind and body, but it reduces collective stress and violence when practiced in groups of sufficient size (tm.org). All levels of human life, from global administration, to youth and large group support movements, to programs that improve and make the individual more receptive and intelligent, must be implemented and will naturally support each other.
Now is the time for mankind to rise in global patriotism on every level to use unlimited, flawless and cosmic intelligence to only do what will produce progress without any damaging effects and, if some negative effect is discovered, then changes must be made immediately in policy to stop doing that which is now discovered to be wrong, or adjust it to remove the negative element.
Cars and trucks and even planes and trains can be used, but make them solar or powered in an eco-friendly way.
Clothing, construction materials, and so many other things can be made of re-useable materials made of wood, plant products, metals, etc. rather than materials such as plastics which may not break down in the environment and may damage life both on land and in the oceans.
Just as mankind had to work together to ban use of nuclear weapons, now mankind now must display global patriotism to ban pollution.
More and more, mankind must rise as a species to global patriotism to own and create the progress of this world.
