In the brilliant “ interstellar “ movie , when Jessica Chastain was talking to Micheal Caine , she said that ” we have failed so many times ” then he replied ” we only have to succeed once .
Failure is ugly , everyone knows that ,but not everyone can deal with it. When people aim toward achieve something , probably they try to stay motivated along the way . However, In some scenarios ” motivation is not enough” , some things are beyond motivation and positive thoughts . The only thing that could get you out of there is your survival instinct . During this time you do not have the benefits of ” giving up or letting things go ” because it means your life could be at risk . If we take a look to the way people act during their survival mode , we could notice something common between them , it is the ability to focus . This is the main element that helps everyone to reach their destination. Our minds are not stupid, when someone is fighting for their life , their mind won’t search for some stupid motivation around the corner , or call someone to ask them for some positive energy in order to continue the fight. In this case human’s mind will only focus on succeeding , yes it is that simple . Well , so what am l trying to tell you here? I am trying to say that sometimes positive thinking could be as toxic as negative one. This is because it forms a distraction , and much worse it could be an addiction . People could keep thinking and dreaming without calculating their real chances for achievement. Consequently ,most of these people won’t make it , especially if their goal is high.
Also , this kind of thinking may lead to anxious thoughts because people keep wondering about what could happen . They forget the only thing that could save them , their capability to hit the target . A few months ago I had an exam , which was vital to my carrier . before I entered the examination room I was thinking about the impacts of this test on my future. I was nervous and I experienced a rough time there . In the third section of questions I lost my focus, even I could not read the words. , I felt sorry for myself and I was about to throw the papers and leave the room. , I didn’t make that. I took a deep breath and concentrated on the paper only till I finished all the questions. When I received my results , I found that the third part of the exam ( the one that I almost panicked at ) was the highest score among all other sections.
So , here what I wish you to do:
During your hard time do yourself a favor and focus on solutions only ( do not panic , it will not help, and no one is out there to save you so please save yourself )
Stop looking for miracles and wasting your time ( make effort as this is the only thing that matters)
You cannot count on your emotional state , if you do this you put yourself at a huge risk ( it does not matter if you are over the moon or you are feeling blue , get that job done.)
Lastly, stay strong you owe yourself that.
