On the political climate in today’s modern era

Let’s face it, some of our parents really did politics well in the sixties. Yet in this day and age, there is so much to care about and so little passion, especially concerning the Democratic primaries.

One watches the primaries and they all seem the same. Tired speeches, with planned applause surrounding tired issues. Let’s totally get excited about democracy and leadership again. Enough with corruption and greed, we need to get excited about a true leader of the diverse American people. What happened to impassioned rallies like in the aforementioned sixties, with people laying down on the street for the causes they care about?

Hey, at least we have the new-fangled Super Happy Fun America straight pride parade, which is something to think about from one side or another, and also did you know it will soon be legal for women to go topless in a couple States?

It’s okay to care. Let yourself care about your life, your country and it’s leadership. Bring back the passion of the post war era sixties combined with the elite taste of modernity to make this election season something worth paying attention to, something worth watching, something worth caring about.

Vote. Get informed. Demand the best out of your leaders, instead of taking a back handed role. And remember amidst all of this newfound passion and cries for integrity, to lead with peace and equanimity, as we are all human beings fighting the same fight, on some level or another, the quest to find our unique flavor of existentiality.

Or maybe it’s best to just take a behind the scenes role for the next four years, and simply take some time for ourselves and our families. Maybe it’s not right to scream from the rooftops and just let things fall as they will, solving human rights crises as they arise instead of starting from the very beginning.

Either way, when will peace and passion coexist?

Carry on, lovers. ?
