Tonight’s Full Moon takes place at approximately 12:12 am EST, at 19° Gemini, but will appear full the night both before and after its peak to the casual stargazer. December’s full moon is known as the Cold Moon, though it has many other nicknames by different cultures. There’s also a rare triple-conjunction of Venus, Saturn, and Pluto. So, Venus love and money will be a major focus of this moon phase. And for most people, it will be a difficult two weeks with Saturn creating delays and restrictions, and Pluto bringing fear and crises.

Not only does this full moon occur at the same time as the triple conjunction, but it is also directly linked by quincunx aspects. It indicates a rise in tension toward a tipping point, where an adjustment must be made in order to restore karmic balance.

Full moons mark endings, but every ending is a new beginning, and the next lunation will be a solar eclipse in Capricorn, when we’re entering a whole new world. It might mean drawing boundaries in certain cases or lowering your guard and reevaluating your direction in others. Difficult conversations may need to take place. In all cases, this is an invitation to learn your lessons and release the past so you can step into this new world and open your arms to the future.

Venus conjunct Saturn makes it harder to express love and affection, and easier to be cold and mean. You may experience isolation, sadness, privation, relationship problems or financial hardship. If money is tight, events may force you to liquidate assets and learn to budget.
