Suddenly, a hole has opened.
Such a black hole that draws us all in, and from which, we will come out different, into a new world.
And it’s funny because, personally, for a long time I’ve been longing for such a reset.
A chance to stop the race, a time to gather within, to rest.
Silence.
What a blessing…
Some people still try to hold on to a whiff of normality, as if it were a handle to save them from drawing in.
But while denial is part of the process, the faster we awaken, the quicker we will recover.
Because beneath the surface of panic, beyond the barrier of denial, we can find internal processes that, during this period, can recreate each and every one of us.
Because this quarantine that had sentenced to all of us suddenly creates silence.
A strange kind of silence.
And this is funny because at least for me, on a personal level, that’s exactly what I needed.
Silence.
An opportunity to simply be.
To listen, to reflect.
An opportunity to lay in bed for hours, develop drawing skills, practice yoga, try different selfie angles on the phone.
An opportunity to pick up a party for myself while holding a glass of wine, bond with my kitties and learn a thing or two about being present.
An opportunity to practice headstand, learn to play guitar, sit in the garden – Look at the leaves, listen to the birds, stare and wonder…
An opportunity to read all of Paulo Coelho’s books, cook only healthy, and order pizza for the balance.
An opportunity to dive in-depth, discover even deeper inner-spaces and bring them to fruition.
Suddenly I have time to float upon a river whose flow I surrender myself – surrender to the uncertainty.
To relax and breathe through the
silence.
To all Corona patients, I wish you a quick recovery.
And for all rest – Enjoy the silence.
