Acceptance is to Receive

Acceptance and Surrender go hand in hand. You cannot receive yourself or your life fully, if you’re holding onto some part of your past. That means you must stay present and be willing to experience yourself and your life as it is, without any attachments, and begin to build from there. The art of acceptance allows you to examine, discover, and relate to your daily experiences with a sense of compassion. It supports the recognition of what is true in the present moment and offers the opportunity to embrace what you see with an open heart.

It helps to remember, that we are not broken or need fixing. We just need to be understood and to understand. When you understand the role of attachments, you will see that holding on only keeps you bound, confined, and trapped in an experience that previously occurred that you still hold true today. Allow yourself to let go and begin anew. Flip the script and write a new story in the way you want see it for yourself today. Take your principles, passions and purpose and put it into practice. Choose to surrender to the moment rather than suffer through it. Choose to rewrite the story so you can clear the slate and experience the truth of yourself now. Choose appreciation even when you feel disappointed. Choose to embrace change even if it doesn’t look like what you expected. Choose to feel at peace with any part of yourself and your life, in every moment, so you can receive the loving-kindness in compassion that’s been waiting for you to accept it fully.

ACCEPTANCE: Is to receive.
