I remember one day, I was feeling so down and I was just going through a lot. And I didn’t have anyone to talk to about what was going on with me, I remember that I was so little back then, I was still in Middle School, and I remember that I took out a piece of paper and I started just writing down everything that I am feeling and everything that I am going through at the moment. And I can’t even begin with how much better I felt afterward, after writing everything down and just letting all of it out. And I think this was the moment I actually fell in love with writing.
Writing can sometimes be your therapy when you are just too hurt and too wounded to talk to anyone about it; sometimes writing what you are going through can help you so much in letting it out, in making you feel better just by sharing your pain and sharing how you got over your pain without even having to talk about it. And that’s the beauty of writing. As said before “One day you will tell your story of how you’ve overcome what you’re going through now, and it will become part of someone else’s survival guide.”
And you know, sometimes people tell me of how much they want to write but they just don’t! Because they think they are not good enough or they say that every single thing they have thought of writing about, someone out there has already written about it. But you know what, no matter how many good writers are out there and no matter how many things they have written about, you will still have something to add. Because we are all different. No matter how much we might go through similar experiences. Still, none of us feels exactly the same, none of us will perceive things exactly the same and none of us will think exactly the same.
No one will ever feel things as intensely as you and no one will ever think like you do or be able to describe your feelings the way you describe them or look at things just the way you look at them and that’s your power!
You know whenever you read something that someone wrote and you just relate to what they wrote so much and feel like they are talking about exactly what you are going through and you get that exhilarating feeling that wow! someone out there is actually going through exactly what I am going through and feeling exactly what I feel. I think if you have the slightest potential to make someone feel this way, I believe this is worth everything. This is worth you going out there and write every single thing you have ever wanted to write about and share it with the rest of the world no matter what.
