Who is You Higher Self And How Can You Align With Your Higher Self During Quarantine?

Who is My Higher Self and how do I become aligned?

This is a question I have asked myself over the last few years as I began my spiritual journey. I was not quite sure what or who my Higher Self was. As I continued down my journey, I have discovered who my Higher Self is.

Your Higher Self is you. It is the part of you that you were born with. Your Higher Self is love, compassion, and peace, it is your soul.

It is the part of you before you became tainted by the judgement and cruelties of this world. When we come into the world we are not born with the labels or the judgments that are put on us by others.

As children we were always living in the moment and were not thinking about the past or  the future. We were connected to our Higher Self without even realizing it.

As we got older we became disconnected with our Higher Selves when we started comparing ourselves to others, or when we started believing the lies others told us about ourselves.

The times when you are feeling your best and doing the things you love, are the times when you are aligning with your Higher Self. These are the times when you are living in the moment, and are being your true authentic Higher Self.

When you are living in the moment and you are not thinking about the past or the future you are connecting or realigning with your Higher Self.

Your Higher Self  lives in the moment. Your Higher Self is not worried about what is going to happen next and is not thinking about the pains from the past.

Think about the the times when you have felt  depressed or anxious. Something you were thinking about was causing you to feel that way. When you are feeling depressed you are living in the past and when you are are anxious you are living in the future.

So how can you reconnect when you find yourself feeling low? How can you become more aligned so you can start feeling your best?

There is no right or wrong way to connect with your Higher Self. There are just different ways of doing it.

Meditation

Meditating is a great way to become realigned, and this is the perfect time to start. We are living in times of uncertainty which can cause a lot of fear, anxiety, and depression. Meditation will help you to reconnect and stay in the present moment.

Meditating can be challenging if your new to doing it. It doesn’t have to be a long drawn out process. You can start out with just ten minutes and then when you are comfortable increase your time to fifteen minutes.

You start by simply sitting still in a quiet place and focusing on your breath. Start by breathing in deep through your nose and hold your breath for about five seconds, and then breath out through your mouth. This type of deep breathing helps you to reconnect to the present moment.

Mindfulness Meditation is a good practice to get into. Mindfulness Mediation requires you to be fully present and aware of  the moment you are in. When you are living in the moment you are not being affected or moved by what is going on outside of you.

A good way to know if you have connected to your Higher Self during meditation, is to write down your experience. How did you feel? What thoughts came to you during your experience? Think about these thoughts and feelings and don’t judge yourself.

Do what you Love

Another way you can realign yourself is to do what you love. Do what makes you feel good. What does that look like to you? If you enjoy watching a movie with a cup of coffee, then do that.

If you like sitting outside on your porch or patio, do that. What ever makes you smile, and feel good about being you, is what you should do.

The best thing to do during this time is to be honest with how you are feeling. There are going to be times when you are not in alignment with your Higher Self and that is okay.

When you find yourself going down that dark place, do what makes you feel good to bring yourself out of that mindset. And always remember don’t judge yourself for how you are feeling.
