The Desert rose

Fire, a constant heat burning down through ray beams.

As most prevail through this I lay here Wilting, I slowly fall apart down to my last

I see clouds in the distance,

Could this be it, have you finally came to save me?

Slowly it fades in the distance, but in that moment I stood a little stronger.

As the moon highlights what seems to be left of me I notice what’s missing.

As I wake constant burning through the day I pray to make it to sunset,

I pray to see the light of the moon we once shared.  A cloud appears yet again this time angry as lightening bursts down with a loud crashing sound following shortly behind, Finally I feel home. I knew you would save me, but right before the rain hits it stops a mile away.  Hoping my roots grew deep enough I realized I was ok and even though it was tough I couldn’t wait to see how close you came tomorrow.  Everyday I fall apart barely hanging on but you keep me going.  I feel my body giving up and breaking down, but through you I will grow back stronger, Only you can save me.  I realize that I may wait forever but when I see the clouds it Keeps me moving.  Knowing one drop can save me you symbolize hope, faith giving me the strength I need to live, you give me breathe.
