We can fall in love with all kinds of people.

I know I have.

But falling for someone isn’t always the same as being compatible with someone.

Many of us have found ourselves in a relationship—whether days, weeks, months, or years in—only to realize that the person we’re sharing our life with doesn’t feel quite right.

No, not everything needs to be perfect in order for the relationship to be worthwhile—but not every person is right for us, either.

So how can we possibly tell the difference?

When I run into lists of signs you’re with the right or wrong person, I often roll my eyes. Which is what I did when one of my best friends first sent me this video. But then, I watched it and found myself hanging on to every word.
