I write to express, not to impress

“I write to express, not to impress.

I wanted to write another rant, but these words are what I only have written.

There’s so much I wanna say— most of it are bad words, yet I refrained myself from doing it because I don’t like hurting other people.

It’s true that I’ve been hurt by their foul words, but it’s not a reason for me to do the same thing with them.

Because I don’t wanna be like them — like those people who had wounded my heart.

I’m firm with what I believe on —

‘Don’t do unto others what you don’t want done unto you.’ – Confucius

Maybe, this quote helped me so much to be a good person.

On the other side, we, people are not perfect. We make mistakes and break rules we have set for ourselves.

But it doesn’t mean you’re a fake person for defying your principles, this only signifies you’re an honest person. You’re just being real to yourself and with other people and it’s never a crime to do that.

By saying this, I don’t intend to judge someone who’s not in this position; or belittle them because they don’t act like these people. That is another topic to discuss.

What’s important is you acknowledge your shortcomings and always be ready to take action for it — to correct the mistakes you’ve done to yourself and humanity.

Let this be a lesson to just let some people live as they want and who they are. Unless they’re ruining their lives, then that’s the only time you may interfere.

Indeed, truth really hurts sometimes.
