Virgo Crescent Moon, July 24, 2020; Just four days ago we had a New Moon in Cancer. And at that time both the Sun and Moon were exactly opposite the planet Saturn in Capricorn. It was a serious New Moon, as Cancer is the most sensitive sign, and the opposition from Saturn made us all feel the pressure of this current historical moment in time.

The Moon quickly moved in to Leo and we saw much drama and acting out. The last two days the Moon was in Virgo, and calmer heads prevailed for a moment. The Sun in early degrees of Cancer is still opposite Saturn in Capricorn, and will be for a few more days.

Keywords for the Sun with Saturn are personal responsibility; pressure and duty. And sometimes it can make one feel responsible for things that are not even their fault or responsibility. The higher expression of this Sun/Saturn energy would be the taking of personal responsibility for the greater good of all of us.

It is no coincidence that it took this moment in time for many who refused to wear or advocate masks to finally change their tune and realize that the wearing of masks is for the greater good of all of us.

As I have been writing since March, the continued conjunction of Jupiter with Pluto in Capricorn has shown the expansion (Jupiter) and spread of death (Pluto) from Covid-19; though it didn’t have to be this way. Clients always ask astrologers to “predict their future.

The truth is that the best predictor of the future is ones past behavior. The great Greek philosopher Heraclitus told us 2500 years ago that “Character is Destiny.” And we cannot see ones character in their astrology chart; we can only see it in their behavior.

The continuing confusion signaled by Neptune in Pisces is even more intense as Jupiter and Pluto are sextile (60 degrees) Neptune. The continuing expansion (Jupiter) of invisible and deadly forces (Neptune sextile Pluto) is real, as we are seeing the Coronavirus spreading in the US, and other parts of the world.

The reality is that we have two pandemics. One is Covid-19, and the other is misinformation and confusion spread by politicians, pundits and social media.

It is wise at this time to be diligent and choose behavior that will keep you and those you love safe. Character is Destiny; making good choices in our behavior is the one big mitigating factor that will determine what the rest of this year will bring. And it is also the one thing that we can indeed control.

Stay safe out there, and amid all of the stress and confusion, please choose to be kind. There is no greater balm for the collective sadness and fear that many of us are feeling than simple acts of kindness:-) <3
