When Shiva Comes to Town. A Dance of Destruction. {Poem}

Rooting down,

Desperate for stable ground.

The earth shakes

The fault lines of my heart open wide.

Lightning illuminates the night sky,

And I burn…

The storm rages,

It screams my name.

Searching for someone who no longer exists.

The wind howls in anger,

Or is it grief?

The waves collide

With this island’s shore.

From the devastation,

I rise…

Shedding the past

Like the snake shakes off its skin.

I arise as light, as breath, as me.

Finally, free to fly.
