Scattered Dreams (Poem)

Some tones never leave you

Although they may deceive you

Believing in something that was true

Now as false as the ocean blue

An illusion of light, we create an image in the eyes

but when you look a little closer,

you can see its clear, no surprise

So when the colors fade, don’t hold on too long

to the fantasy laid out on the horizon

Get right with yourself and leave the rest behind

The truest form is you

You must take it and grind

No turning back the clock, can’t erase events on the wheel

What was, was meant to be, however deep it may still feel

The time has come now, to let it all go

a day will arrive, you will see, it was in you all along, you know

Putting you on the path and in the right direction

even if sometimes you just want to run

every choice you make, there is a future reflection

don’t lose hope, there will always be another rising sun

Scattered dreams and roadmaps, what more is there to say?

It’s in your hands now, you will find the way
