Do you choose satan or peace?
Attending regular church or prayer services is a requisite for the spiritual growth. Most people have a belief that they are so much into proper spiritual lives for being regular in prayers or any other meetings. It is really good to be regular and sacrifice your time for the Living GOD and it shows your obedience towards your Lord. But, does everyone following the same trend choose the peace of Christ? The ‘PEACE’ I am emphasizing here is not the peace when you do not face any oppression in your life. The peace here I determine the ‘PEACE OF CHRIST’ in us, as written in Colossians 3:15 (ESV), “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful”. He gave us His peace through His spirit which flows freely within all of us. Despite of His beautiful promises and gifts, some of us still mistake to focus on satan more than the promises of the Lord.
You might be thinking how (this must be in your mind that we spend so much of time into prayer conferences or sessions). But some of us actually choose satan because they lift up their fears and rather than going into the faith, their focal point is more on ‘satan did it or satan planned it’. Some people have a stronghold of always blaming up the satan while taking no notice of their own wrong habits or mindsets. This kind of ethos can actually open the doors for satan in your life even if everything is absolutely fine in your life. I am not criticizing any specific person or community. Here I call attention to the mind who’s attributing satan every moment something wrong happens. If you try to cross the road (in your own will) while the green traffic signal is on then you cannot blame satan for creating your own blunders.
Sometimes, it’s our own will to choose peace or negativity out of whatever happens to us. We all are not perfect on our own and there is no offense to this fact because one day this fact will change. But our own will can majorly regulate the kind of lifestyle we desire. John 7:17 says, “Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own”. God does not speak negative because He is God and He is the source of peace and positivity. When God speaks, He puts peace in our hearts and minds NOT the satan focused thoughts.
At times we have our own stubbornness in our hearts which bring things out of order in our life. Negative comes out from satan ofcourse, but there are things which we have given authority to do as our free will. As Romans said in 12:2 (NIV) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test what God’s will is: his good, pleasing and perfect will.” God’s will is always best for us but we have to fill our minds with God’s word and grab in our hearts so that we focus on what He has said about us. If you give your will to God then you will see how beautifully Lord changes the mess in your life into a masterpiece. And you will experience His peace in your heart. So what are you going to choose today – “satan or peace”?
