The Astrological Story of COVID 19 and Beyond 2020–2024

I asked Chryss if astrologers had actually predicted Covid 19 and if it was tied in with 2020?

The story begins on 11 January 2020 when the two heavy planets in astrology, Saturn and Pluto come together in the heavens. In mythology, Pluto rules the Underworld and Saturn is the Guardian to the Underworld and therefore, both planets together create an incredibly heavy energy. Every thirty to forty years they come together (called a ‘conjunction’), and this is when they are at their strongest and most difficult.

In the last century, Saturn and Pluto were conjunct at the beginning of World War 1, creating chaos and devastating results. In 1947 the Cold War with Russia began, lasting a staggering forty-four years and not coming to an end until 1991. The Falklands War began in 1982, and although it was more localised and less difficult, it was still a shock.

Covid-19 had just made an appearance in the world when the most recent conjunction took place on 12th January 2020. This was the same as the 1914 conjunction, and it turned out to be excruciatingly difficult, not only because we were fighting an unseen and unknown virus on a worldwide level, but also because of the detrimental knock-on effect on everything else.

Any astrologer would have predicted that 2020 was going to be a year of challenges. We foresaw that it would stretch systems physically, politically and financially — many to their limits, and in some cases beyond. The first has obviously been the physical health situation as January was when we first heard of it, inevitably putting the whole world into lockdown mode with Covid-19. In July, the seasonal element of living on this planet made it worse for countries below the equator as the virus hit the Southern Hemisphere.

The Outlook For The Rest Of Year and 2021

No doubt you will be pleased to hear, that hopefully now it reaches the zenith of its negativity for the last time around the New Moon on the 16th of October. Unfortunately, there is a possibility of a mutation in the virus that could cause extra problems, but this is not guaranteed. However, I strongly recommend that we should all definitely take extra care during this time!

On November 4th, the United States of America will have their elections and being so close to the New Moon, you can expect fireworks and challenges at that time.

As always (and thankfully with Covid-19!) the planets move on and we are now at the end of the generational movement of Jupiter and Saturn. As they come together on 21st December 2020, we begin a new 20-year cycle of life! With Jupiter and Saturn at the 1st° of Aquarius, it will bring with it some much needed hope and happiness. It is the birth of Generation Alpha and all that goes with the rebirth of the human heart, spirit and soul!

Undeniably, we will be going into a time when we must pick up the mess created in the economic and political systems by Covid-19 and I see that taking a few years. In fact, until Pluto reaches 0 Aquarius which is 2024 but after that, we begin to feel the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. This is the coming together, the synergy of mind, body and spirit on a physical and global level of human consciousness! Just as human consciousness changed around February 2008 when Pluto went into Capricorn, so our fundamental consciousness will change when Pluto goes into Aquarius!
