Valentine’s Day is special.

There’s an energy around it that we can feel tingling in our fingertips and a little glow in our hearts that reminds us that we are all beings of Love. And this super power-packed force of Love is something we can all feel but never quite decode fully. That’s the point I meditate and turn to my trusted deck of Tarot cards for a little help and insight into what’s in store for our love lives this Valentine’s.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

The best relationship is one that’s fair to both sides and equal. And the days ahead see you bringing back a sense of balance within and around you. Time to be your own judge and jury and take some time out to find where your life and relationships are out of balance and work to set it right.

Are you giving more than you receive?

Stress begins when we refuse to be accountable for our own actions. Look back to your relationships and let go of blame. A good time to share grievances and make changes in a relationship, and if single remember we cannot rationalise love; we just have to feel it.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

Love teaches the most valuable life lessons sometimes during a relationship and sometimes after it’s over. What have you learnt from the people who touched your heart? Each one of them came as a teacher, and each one has left an indelible mark on your heart.

A period of spiritual progress begins for you and your best classroom is in your heart. Singles may formalise their relationship as wedding bells can ring in the following months. An older soul, wiser in many ways comes forward to teach you a little more about Love. Are you ready to learn?

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

The joy in your heart only magnifies when it is shared. Express what you’re feeling. Reach out to loved ones. Share a magical moment. And realize that everything is exactly where it is meant to be. The more you listen to your heart, the more you discover the fulfillment of emotional feeling that supersedes the mundane and the material.

A new chapter begins in your relationships, and the key is to tap into your heartbeat and say out loud what your heart is trying to say. Don’t keep it inside.

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

Love doesn’t need the person in front of us to be truly experienced. Its power can be felt across distances of time and space. Each moment is pure and complete in itself. And your soul seems to have learnt the importance of being your true and authentic self.

Long-distance love affairs may be highlighted and if already in a relationship, you may experience moments of self-realization and a deep cosmic unity during your moments of intimacy. Together you transform your physical union into something so sacred and beautiful. It’s the journey and not the goal that matters in Love.

Leo (July 23 to August 22)

You already know how unpredictable love has been in your life. And you know only too well how you feel when Cupid’s arrows strike. However, the cards urge you to take a step further in self-exploration and figuring out the mysteries of Love that keep you drawn to a special someone.

Seek out a teacher, attend classes, work on your shared goals. If uninvolved, don’t allow yourself to get discouraged, step out of your comfort zone and take a few tiny steps into new territory by doing things a little differently from what you’ve always done. Change is on the horizon.

Virgo (August 23 to September 22)

Love comes in waves. Sometimes you’re on a high as you scale the crest, and sometimes you’re left floundering, gasping for breath underwater. Relationships too are subject to the ups and doings and the time may have come to reevaluate where you are and ask yourself if the relationship needs a little zing, or if it’s time to move on.

The key is to not look over your shoulder at what went wrong but to seize the present moment and see what can be done. You may even catch a glimpse of a new direction opening up—it could be a new love interest or an insight about yourself that could be the key to understanding Love a little better.

Libra (September 23 to October 22)

The more you try to hold onto love, the more it escapes your grasp. The more you let go of your expectations, the more it surprises you. Take a little break from trying so hard. Let go a little. Spend time apart from one another. Or, for a while, stop searching for the one. Tune in to your own inner-self and discover what needs a little self-healing and self-love. And see what happens. Love exists in the pause too, you know, and the moment of realisation is totally liberating.

Scorpio (October 23 to November 21)

Love transforms and repairs bringing us back to the state of intended wholeness and completion. If you’ve been through a rough time, prepare to distance a little from the past. The worst is over, and you’re being given the opportunity to leave the tears and the stresses behind you. Some wounds will heal naturally with time but some will need the intervention and the skilled touch of a trusted advisor.

A new pathway opens up in your heart, and it’s time to trust that things are getting and will continue to get better. Ongoing relationships change and promising new connections are made with ease and the least of efforts. Let Love take the lead for a change.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21)

Love is about the truth, and to be completely honest and authentic with yourself and your special someone is an act of love. Relationships grow when both understand that they are coming from a space of trust and truth.

You soon discover who’s telling you the truth by the way it feels. And you may notice things can change in the blink of an eye. Friendship could turn into romance. Casual feelings could get serious or passionate in a way you never quite imagined—as long as you stay authentic, as long as you stay true.

Capricorn (December 22 to January 19)

Healing doesn’t happen if we tell the other person we’re fine when we’re not. Growth doesn’t happen if we keep doing the same thing over and over again. Love dares you to be your true self, to be vulnerable and expressive, and to share your deepest, weirdest secrets. And if they stick around, you know it’s love.

If you’ve been quiet, it’s time to share more. If you’ve been passive, it’s time to take the lead. Love has a way of pushing you out of your hiding space and dares you to be bold. Are you ready?

Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)

Nothing is too difficult when you harness the energy of your beliefs and combine them with your desires. Time to trust a higher power and believe that good things do come to those who believe.

“Drop the fear, throw caution to the wind, take a risk,” whispers the Love messenger.

If you can visualise loving relationships in your life, there’s nothing to stop you, is there? Enjoy an upcoming phase of possibilities and chances. Perhaps, someone appears who just isn’t your type, or perhaps, you give an old flame a second chance?

Pisces (February 19 to March 20)

At first, you fall in love with the perfections in that special someone. Who just seems so right and in sync with you. With time, you see their flaws, and Love makes you fall in love with their imperfections as well, and you slowly learn to grasp the true meaning of Love. Acceptance comes in your relationships and you may discover harmony like you’ve never known. Love knows no differences.
