To be clear, I’m not about to try and tell you how to live your life; I don’t have the right because I don’t walk in your shoes. That being said, I’ve come to observe something of the human condition that I want to share, and I’m asking you to consider how it applies to you, and what you’d like to “do” about it. I do this because even if I don’t know you, I love you; and that includes allowing you the ability to be who you are in this process of becoming, in a mindful way.
I’ve been attuned to the laws of attraction for some time now, and to simplify the concept, “The Universe Responds to YOU, and what you experience, you’ve attracted by what you choose to focus on.” I have seen first hand how we quite literally bring about some of the painful and pleasant experiences that we live through, just by thinking about them in a particular way. Have you ever had a moment where maybe you worried about getting a flat tire because it looked a little low, or getting into an accident because you were running just a few minutes late, only to have that EXACT thing happen? It might not be so extreme, maybe you got were thinking of your Mom and you were nervous, and she calls with some urgent news, or you think of a song while listening to the radio, near the end of a commercial and it’s the next song to come on, or RIGHT after because you change the station. Events that appear to be “coincidences” in our everyday life because logically, what else could they be, right? But what if there’s something MORE?
If Science has deduced that everything is energy, and energy is neither created nor destroyed, isn’t is highly probable that these occurrences show that we ARE able to exercise control in what we get to experience? The laws of attraction identify these times as “manifestations” or “concious creations” because it actually happened exactly as you envisioned it. I wonder what Science will label it once they learn to track it, some call it luck, or flow, or “things are just ALWAYS working out for so and so.” And wouldn’t it be something to get better control over it? You absolutely can. If this sounds interesting, google Abraham Hicks, Laws of attraction, The Secret.
We’re human, we feel love and joy, and hatred and sorrow; and each is so valuable to us because they teach many things. However I’ve noticed that when I choose to focus on my gratitude or love I can’t help but observe things that make me grateful, and loving. If I tell you not to think of a purple elephant, you might have thought of a yellow elephant, or an ACTUAL elephant, or maybe you thought of a goose because you SPECIFICALLY had a moment that you thought to yourself “what’s not an elephant?” An elephant was still present, because it was PRESENTED as an option. It would seem logical then, that by focusing on whatever we’re choosing to focus on, be it anger, or joy, we will continue to observe if we don’t change the focus.
It’s such a fine line, because I’m not trying to shovel some keep on keeping on, spiritual bypassing down your throat. No one has the right to tell you how to feel about something, NO ONE; and that’s not my aim here. I want you to understand that whatever you’re feeling about whatever you’re experiencing you have ABSOLUTE control over. With a shift of focus and energy you can make it something it. And I want you to be aware that how you go about feeling how you’re feeling effects others GREATLY and in so many seen and unseen ways. Now what would you like to do about that?
