Unearthing Personal Gold

After posting an offering on social media, I noticed a response pop up in my notifications. I was curious who had replied and excited to discover what they had written, so eagerly clicked on the link. I read the comment mindfully, staying in my heart, truth and power. After reading a gentleman’s sharing, I sat to digest his negative thoughts and accusations.

That was then it happened like a bolt out of the blue! The self-realisation that I no longer care about other people’s opinions of me nor require external affirmation to validate who I am and what I do. I considered his response and felt deeply grateful to this gentleman for showing me how far I had come on my personal journey of healing and transition.

At one time in my past, I would have felt deeply wounded by the gentleman’s judgment of me and viewed his comments as personal rejection. As his views were public, I would have even removed my post from social media to prevent further personal attacks and humiliation. My decision to do this would have been driven by the fears and wounds of my shadow self; the aspect of me that craved love, acceptance and understanding.

I reflected upon how far I had transitioned and how my soul alignment work had enabled me to heal the conditioned beliefs about ‘not being enough’, healed my need for external validation and acceptance by others, as well as resolved my emotional reactions. I felt in awe of how one simple sharing was the unexpected catalyst for self honouring and celebration.

As Soul Alignment work is an internal process of re-modelling, we don’t necessary visibly see external evidence for our efforts in the same way that we do when we physically re-model ourself with a new hair style, outfit or manicure. Therefore, it’s in everyday instances such as this, that we receive golden nuggets of affirmation. These subtle everyday occurrences credit our courage to change, commitment to ourself and time invested.

I invite you to take time each day to find the gold and acknowledge the transitions that you’ve successfully made, so that you can celebrate your healing, growth and expansion.

With soulful love and blessings,

Helen
