As a bald woman and hair loss coach, the theme of femininity, feminine identity and feeling like a beautiful goddess with and without hair is something I’ve put a lot of thought into.
What do you associate with feeling feminine?
Is it something superficial?
Superficial femininity is anything that feels feminine, or you learn to believe is feminine, but that does not touch on the core of your being and is therefore based on things that are impermanent (such as your hair).
So, let’s touch on hair and femininity.
Yeah, it feels fun to get the swish of hair, or to flirtatiously peek under the pieces of hair that fall on your face, but does this mean it makes you feminine? No.
The femininity in those moments has little to do with your hair, and more to do with your energy and attitude.
The beauty of losing your hair is that it asks you to explore femininity with curiosity in other ways.
You see… there is feminine and masculine in all of us.
We are connected to this divine femininity every time we express our emotions (from joy to grief, words to art), connect to our intuition, feel subtle energies, get creative, love and nurture ourselves and others, long for more or embrace our fierceness and allow our power out into the world.
It’s less to do with what you look like, and more to do with how you move through life.
The attraction others feel to you is a byproduct of you exploring this side of yourself.
— How can you explore it today?
