I’ve written a good deal about “Right Livelihood” on Elephant Journal.
It’s not “live your dream.” It’s hard work. It has to pay the bills. It has to be of benefit.
And making that transition from something that pays the bills to something you love and are good at that’s of benefit *and* pays the bills is hard.
Michelle, my partner, has been walking this steep path all year. Humbly. Not making good money. Working her butt off. I haven’t seen too many support her, yet she plugs along.
I’m here for it. She’s cheerfully, delightedly doing a teacher training with Amy Ippoliti. She’s watching her money. She’s gone vegan and zero waste and entered into a new relationship all at the same time.
Pandemics crush, and kill—but crises also force and inspire change. I’m grateful to have changed from single to in love with her.
I’m in awe witnessing her change from car sales (which she was damn good at) to full time yoga teacher. Join one of her classes, and you’ll be paving one brick in the path of her transition.
You in?
If you’d like to join a class, DM @michellesmithyoga on Instagram, or email her at Michelle Smith Bilingual Yoga: yogabilingue @ gmail dot com.
