How I’m Breaking out of my Comfort Zone in my 40s.

Some of you may already know that I’m an introvert.

Through and through. I’m not an extroverted introvert, I’m a straight-up, prefer to stay at home, not a partier or drinker, have a tiny circle of friends (who I rarely see, no offense to them—it’s the usual—it’s me, not you, thing), and enjoy reading a good book to doing anything else.

So stepping out of my comfort zone is something I rarely do (though being in my early-40s I’ve learned when I need to speak up about things, too). Long story short, I’ve done something else I never thought I’d have the courage to do—get on YouTube and start up a meditation video channel!

Now, I’m also a yoga and meditation teacher (alongside my day job), which I just started back up last week at my work. And because I love yoga and meditation, my introversion kind of takes a step back while teaching.

But teaching meditation in person is totally different from just recording your voice. And, like everyone on the planet who isn’t used to hearing their own voice on a regular basis (and maybe even then), I hate the sound of my voice! It is so weird. Even though I’ve been told my voice is great and calming.

I thought I’d share my second meditation video with you all. It’s a short five senses meditation.

If you enjoy it, I’d love for you to subscribe to my channel (Meditate with Cait), and share it with your friends. And I hope to record more videos in the near future!  I am also planning on recording a bedtime story, written by yours truly, as well and putting it on my channel so look out for that soon!
