By now, we all know about Wi-Fi and its benefits. With wi-fi connection, we are able to make phone calls, send messages, and use the internet anywhere wirelessly. But what does wi-fi have to do with God?
Where do we get wi-fi from in the first place? It starts with the wi-fi router. The closer we are to the wi-fi router, the more connection and better quality we get, and that makes it easier to call, text, message, and email without the long wait. The farther away we are from the router, the wi-fi connection becomes unstable and soon enough, we lose connection and this is when our phones and computers are loading for a long time and we can’t make any calls either no matter how many times we redial or open a new tab. Likewise, the closer we are to God and share a connection with him, our prayers have value, and reading the Bible has value too. When we wander away from God, our connection between him becomes unstable and after a while, that connection is so poor that our prayers lose value, no matter how often we pray or read the Bible. It’s important to have a strong connection with God and to follow his directions if we want him to answer us. That brings me to the next point; how do we connect with God, and how do we communicate with God?
To connect with God as well as communicate with him, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
- “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes into you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”-Acts 1:8
- “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit”-Ephesians 5:18
By having the Holy Spirit in us, we are able to communicate with God and interpret the scriptures. Also, being filled with the Holy Spirit will connect us to God. In conclusion, as you connect your devices to wi-fi, connect with God in order for your deeds of holiness to have value in it and to receive many blessings and miracles.
- “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”- Matthew 6:33
