How to attain enlightenment?

Meditation & Enquiry leads to a person being able to detach himself from ideas, belief systems, & eventually thoughts to experience a state where there is deep inner silence & just the consciousness remains.
Where you are awake & the noise of thoughts, feelings, emotions have vanished from inside
Just like it vanishes in deep sleep.
That is when you feel immense peace & bliss within.
That is when you realise what your true self & soul really is
That is also what is called enlightenment ( i know it is a misunderstood word but this is the true meaning & description of it which buddha & everyone else clearly state )
