Grandma’s Grief

She’s awoken by the bitter taste of tears rolling from her lifeless eyes into her mouth, every night.

Let her sleep.

When someone we love is taken off this earth we dream. It’s the best part and the worst part. When we sleep were in a world where they exist and when we wake up, we’re in a world they don’t exist. Unfortunately, the world we live in while we are awake is the real world.

Food is tasteless and her morning cup of tea is no longer appealing. She sits in the sun hoping the warmth might offer her some sort of warmth, or comfort.

When we are grieving, nothing is exciting. There is no longer a thing, old or new in this world that suppresses the pain of what you lost. They say joy and normality comes with time.
