Tears welled in my eyes as heavens continued to rain,
Heart racing and crushing, there’s no way to tame this agonizingly sorrowing pain,
Beaconing before my eyes were your smiles radiating amidst the sky- subdued and so dark,
While the moon sang a melancholic song of the lark.
You may have succumbed to the night just when the world seemed beclouded with miseries and woes,
But your light passed through the prisms of mist with kaleidoscopically vivid hues,
You may have flown too soon along with the battalions of angels in heaven,
But the spirit of your goodness that once sentineled us as we sailed through the rough-boundless ocean of life has guided us to dock to the safest haven.
Cocooned in my heart is the grace of your shadow,
Beaming and sighing – a vision to behold from my window,
Tears fall drop by drop from my eyes,
As I wonder how fleeting time flies.
You’ve honed legal minds and touched so many hearts through your influence,
Instilling in us to just embrace the beauty of our existence,
You weren’t just my mentor but a true -solicitous and best-poet friend,
Whose wisdom shared and gestures of empathy showed always transcend.
Love was the language your heart spoke,
Evening classes with you, our laughter broke with your joke,
Your passion for teaching was remarkably applaudable,
Yours was a persona so deep, grand, and adorable.
You may have gone by the setting of the sun,
After all, when our own time comes, we all leave one by one,
Your light may have gone out from this world like a cloud that obscured the sunrise,
But we all shall find solace with the thought that you are now in the Kingdom of our Lord above and enjoying the heavenly paradise.
