I Admire Tessa Blanchard the Workhorse.

Following are some of the most incredible in ring performers with whom Tessa Blanchard has shared the squared circle in the past all across the globe and has had some of the most highly rated and memorable matches in pro wrestling history: Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Gail Kim (Tessa Blanchard retired the Impact Wrestling Hall of famer in 2020, Gail Kim calls that as one of the proudest moment of her career where she passed the torch to an incredible performer and that who had absolutely deserved it.), Moose, Brian Cage, Sami Callihan (Tessa Blanchard defeated Callihan to become Impact Wrestling World Champion back in January 2020 and in that process also became the first ever female World Heavyweight Champion in history and youngest ever Impact Wrestling world Champion), Rich Swann, Jake Crist, Taya Valkyrie, Scorpio Sky, Madison Rayne, Daga, Kiera Hogan, Mercedes Martinez, etc. and if not all of them then at least majority of them have all went ahead and called Tessa Blanchard as one of the most incredible, hardworking and naturally gifted performer they’ve ever shared the ring with. Those who all have recently trained under Blanchard be it Hybrid SOW or WOW have all acknowledged her as one of the hardest working individual on the planet and have said how much it helped improve their game learning from her. Tessa Blanchard who turns 27 this 26th July, still has at the least 14-15 years of prime left in her, since she’s so damn fit and one of the hardest worker in both the ring as well as the gym, and the time she has lost (talking about in ring action in past one and half to two years) that she can easily make up by wrestling till her late 40’s and early 50’s and I totally back her to achieve all the success and achievements moving ahead (Who knows maybe I’ll make it to the arena some day and watch her win a championship from the front row) not because I’m her fan but because she has always helped others around her improve their game and has only motivated everyone around her to be the absolute best and if any one deserves success it is her, she who has honestly wanted and asked for the best for others without asking for anything in return and has been honest with all her decisions.

You know, the most beautiful thing is that even though she has won multiple championships all across the globe and is a former World Heavyweight Champion, still her greatest challenger and rival might be hidden somewhere in future, he/she could be her biggest fan or anybody else who actually looks up to her and might as well have gotten into wrestling or will be getting into wrestling in future motivated by Tessa Blanchard herself, he or she could be anybody who has been inspired by Blanchard’s work ethic. The age factor I tell you, when Bryan Danielson (The greatest in ring performer of this century hands down in my opinion) won his first World Championship in WWE back in 2011 that time he was 30+ and before that he held the ROH Championship for 462 days and was dominating his division and the world of pure wrestling in his 20’s and similarly Tessa Blanchard who currently is 26 years and 9 months old, she who too is regarded by many including me as one of most incredible in ring performer regardless of gender had a memorable World Championship victory back in January 2020, when she was not even 25 years old and to counter/match that (in terms of stats alone) Danielson’s 462 days ROH World Title Reign, Tessa held the PCW Ultra Women’s Championship for 462 days where she was the inaugural Champion and went on to defeat number of challengers one by one and remained the champion for 462 days.

Tessa Blanchard has wiped the floor with the best of the wrestlers out there in the center of the ring, she has the ability to run circles around absolutely anybody in the squared circle and has helped broke the myth that male wrestlers are to be celebrated more than the female wrestlers solely based on the in ring acumen and has on record said that she works as hard as it gets to wrestle a match as long as it gets with the same intensity and enthusiasm from the moment the bell rings to as long as it takes against anybody and absolutely everybody, history will remember her match against the great Mercedes Martinez which from bell to bell went for record 75 minutes which is till date the longest ever televised female wrestling match and it is not just any match it’s an award winning match, The all-time great Rey Mysterio took 62 minutes to win the 2006 Royal Rumble match and earned the right to challenge the then reigning World Heavyweight Champion the all-time great Kurt Angle and The Viper Randy Orton for the world title at Wrestlemania in a triple threat match and defeated them both to become the World Champion. From being a girl who couldn’t do pull ups in the beginning and that which led her to start her days with pull ups and end them with same, her determination led her to being called by millions across the globe as one of the best female performer of this generation. She was the first female to wrestle a televised match in China and not to forget the female who became the first American to win the AAA Reina de Reinas title is also the longest reigning (482 days title Reign) and the first ever Warrior Wrestling Female Champion. I believe Tessa Blanchard has so many list of “firsts” against her name in pro wrestling that she might even write the first chapter of any wrestling book and if I ever interview her write my own wrestling book then she sure is helping me write the first chapter of my Wrestling Book and I absolutely guarantee that.
