When was the last time you experienced a miracle?
Just now!
The mystics teach that the vast majority of miracles throughout history have not been recognized as miraculous, because they have been garbed and hidden in the framework of the natural world. These hidden miracles are even loftier than the obvious miracles that have abrogated the laws of nature. This is because they come from such a high level of Godliness that they cannot be perceived within the confines of the world. Therefore, they go unnoticed, seeming to be merely natural, though they are in fact so subtle and ethereal that they are completely imperceptible to our dull and insensitive physical senses.
Miracles like the splitting of the sea are beyond the nature of the world, but they are able to come down into the world and interrupt its regular functioning. Yet miracles like the conception of new life, the dawning of each new day, and the constant creation of matter from nothingness are so profound and sublime that they are not even recognized as miraculous. Ultimately, we will be able us to see the Godliness in everything and to understand that every single thing we experience is a miracle.
