Self-care can be found in many forms. While some may define it for themselves as a gym routine, a shopping spree, or even treating themselves to their favorite meal, others may find it in a beauty routine.
A recent survey is exposing the beauty regimens of Americans. Coco & Eve surveyed 3,500 people across the nation regarding their daily habits.
When looking at generational differences, Gen Z is the one paying attention to how their skin looks. Gen Zers spend the most time getting ready for a night out. But don’t think they’re getting ready for a night out with dirty brushes, 13% of the generation wash their makeup brushes more than they wash their bedsheets. That makeup and facial cleanser comes at a price though — over a quarter of all survey respondents said they spend between $100-$200 per month on their beauty routine.
The routines don’t stop when it comes to bedtime either. Over 8 in 10 women say they would rather go without wearing makeup than sleep in their makeup and when it comes to a sleepover, 25% of all respondents said they would rather forget their toothbrush and toothpaste rather than forget their cleanser and moisturizer when spending the night away from home.
