My feet feel the stones

as I run as fast

as the drops that keep falling

to the beach beneath.

The rain is soaking my face

like puppy licks.

You are on my mind

coming in waves

consistent and soothing–

cascades of rolling drifts

colors of clouds and sacred sea green

flow like our love

easy and true

and pumping fast through my heart

and mind and veins.

I love it when

earth and emotions

make tears and rain the same.

We are in this together

as we play this game

called life which is not a shame.

Being human can be so amazing

when we take the time

to embrace it fully

like me hugging you in my head

in this rain.
