Because not enough gets said about all of the good going on in our world and who doesn’t love to hear about random acts of kindness to help restore our faith in humanity?
While shopping at Costco the other day, I was only going in for one item but you know how that goes, a stranger who saw me struggling with my arms full offered me his cart to put my items in while he went to get another cart for himself. I was truly humbled by his kind gesture and relieved to take the load off my arms. I was also grateful that I didn’t drop my eggs on the floor before getting to the register at the front of the store. So many people passed by me watching me struggle and some may have even silently wished that I dropped my eggs for not getting a carriage in the first place, but this kind stranger took the time to stop what he was doing to reach out and help someone in need. For that I was truly grateful and paid it forward to the person behind me in line who was struggling like I was and had them go ahead of me to take the load off their arms. One act is all it takes to make a difference. It blesses not only the giver but the receiver as well and makes both feel good.
Despite the chaos going on in our world today, there is still so much good! Good people do exist. If you can’t find one, be one. Every act of kindness matters. Let’s do our part to make our world a better place.
