I always wondered
how I would make it
when my Mom was gone
and yet here I am now.
I have dreams she can talk to me like she used to.
Our questions challenging the depth and mysteries of the dark night—
like what is the purpose of life?
what happens to us after we die?
what or who is God?
And yet we always came back to this:
the mystery of it all is what makes life so interesting,
and offers us hope and the feeling that magic.
A spirit in all of us exists and after we die
we go where we always thought we would.
So I believe you are dancing in the sky,
with with your Mom and my Dad’s Mum.
That is what you always said your wish was.
You deserve the ideal kind of Heaven-the fairy tale of a life well-lived.
