Every single woman should be at the polls today voting like their life depends on it- because it does. 

Our daughters’ and granddaughters’ lives depend on it. 

There’s so much at stake in this election. 

With the protection of Roe vs. Wade gone, we now have to fight for control of our own bodies. 

This is NOT just about abortion. It doesn’t matter whether you’re pro-life or pro-choice. 

Abortion is just a hot topic being used by white men to manipulate women into agreeing to surrender their rights and decision-making abilities to them.

If women are forced to have children- children they are unable to properly care for, or that will threaten the mother’s life, or that are the result of incest or rape- what will they force us to do next?

What rights and freedoms will they steal from us through new laws and legislation?

This war is not about unborn babies or a debate on when life begins. That is all distraction from the main objective. 

This is a war on women, and banning abortion is a means by which men will control and oppress us. 

The legislation does not require any man who impregnates a woman to support that child financially, emotionally, or physically. 

Men are free. 

They can walk away from their children with no responsibility or consequence, while women are enslaved in a lifetime of parenting. 

Don’t get me wrong- children are great. Parenting is wonderful. 

But only if you WANT children- want to be a parent- and have the emotional, physical, and financial capacity to do so. 

Banning abortion declares that women’s lives are unimportant. 

Women are disposable. 

Women are obligated to give up their lives for the sake of others. 

Women are here to SERVE. 

Fuck that shit. 

We have fought too long and hard for equal rights to lay down and take this bullshit now. 

It wasn’t so long ago that women didn’t even have the option to vote.

Men have always tried to keep us quiet- alone at home, pregnant, strapped down by housework, childcare, and supporting them in their careers so we wouldn’t have the time or energy to think for ourselves, let alone advocate for ourselves and each other. 

*I’m generalizing here and realize there are many men who value women and join in our fight for equality. I’m referring to a global, systemic issue here. So, spare yourself the hateful comments about how not every man is a chauvinistic prick.*

Do not take your right to vote for granted. 

Do not waste this opportunity to have a voice and let it be heard. 

Women are under attack and we have to fight. 

Get your ass to the polls, cast your vote, and take a stand for women.
