I was a female firefighter and felt the effects of not being allowed to show any weakness or femininity. I used to go out on the truck and if my period came I was stuck with no access to feminine care. My menstrual cycle was all over the place so I never knew when it was coming.. I started to study the effects of not honouring the menstrual cycle when I was hit with infertility at 41.
Career Women can outdo any man in their industry and exceed them due to our adaptable nature and ability to multitask.
We have all watched the adverts, women playing sports whilst on their period and fed information that nothing should stop us even if we are on our period.
This is so true, nothing can stop us and we have opportunities to be outstanding in every way and we can have it all.
However for women to stay fully in their power and look after their bodies they must be aware that there is a cycle to honour for maintaining their health & hormones.
Ignoring these cycles can potentially have a long-term impact on your menstrual cycle, creating gynaecological and fertility issues.
How the Moon is the key to maintaining balance.
We are conditioned to follow an App with artificial intelligence, to tell us what our menstrual cycle is doing, however, the moon is the key to your balanced cycle..
Most women ‘s cycles follow the moon, either menstruating on a full moon or a new moon unless you take note of it you won’t know..
What’s more important here is to understand the peaks and troughs of women’s cycle and how it relates to the stages of the moon.
How to arrange your work schedule around the phases of the menstrual cycle and your boss won’t know the difference.
If ovulation is on a full moon.
This is the time of the month women have the most energy when she is at her peak.
If trying for a baby this is the time when it’s the pinnacle to conceive.
Women are more magnetic and attractive to their partner, it is as though he knows and his sex drive increases.
This is the time when women need to be booking work appointments or projects as it’s when she has the most energy for it.
It is like she can conquer the world and she should.
The next phase is the waning part.
when women’s energy starts to dip a little, it’s time for women to be making different food choices to help with menstruation.. Green leafy veg and dark chocolate. It’s good to start to think about the work schedule and what’s not relevant or important, either delegate or just think do I need to do it?
New moon.
When the period comes this is the time to withdraw slightly, and honour your cycle. It’s a time of fully letting go and releasing.
It’s important to honour this part of the cycle to take care of menstrual health, it’s also vital to take more rest time. The body naturally wants to withdraw, so no big meetings or projects if at all possible. if it can’t be avoided then be aware that there is less energy to pull on.
Exercise wisely, refrain from doing mass amounts of cardio or any kind of intense exercise and perhaps do more stretching or walking instead.
Women’s menstrual health is an indicator of their overall health. Cramps, mood swings, painful breasts, clotting or slow-to-start periods, excessive bleeding and tiredness are all indicators of hormonal imbalance. Contrary to popular belief it is not ‘Normal’ to put up with these issues, it’s not ‘just part of life’ and women have more control over it than they think.
Waxing phase.
This is the phase where the energy is building up to ovulation. The best way for women to think about it is to think like Spring – New energy, New ideas. This is the time when it’s great to start new work projects as the energy of ovulation will carry it through. A woman’s libido will start to increase and she will notice she will have more energy to pull on.
Following these simple steps will help the body to fit into a cycle, it needs rhythm and loves to know that there will be a rhythm it can settle into. Women can start to experience a more natural flow to their cycle instead of going against the body’s instinct.
If your cycle doesn’t follow this pattern of the moon then just think about the phases and honour each phase as if it’s in line with the moon.
What will you do in your work schedule next month to align with your cycle?
