The entire Sahara desert was gone
It’s sand blanketed skies and cities across the globe
A woman had gone there
Heartbroken with loss so profound
The universe quivered
With one swoop of the arm, the pain escaped her body
She hurled every last grain of sand from the desert into the air
She couldn’t tell the Gods how much her heart ached
So she showed them
What had once been the desert was now a sandstorm in the sky
Covering most of the planet
And the Gods knew
She knelt next to the now giant hole before her
And cried for what felt like years
It was years
When she opened her eyes
The once desert was now a lake
Grass, flowers and animals called it home
Even in the deepest of despair, her love had given back to the Earth
And she knew she had much work to do
Much love to give
So she rose.
