Gone was the cloud that in my mind billowed,
Caressed by the breeze-into the horizon it danced and pillowed,
Heart once thinly veiled with despair now glows like an ember,
Where hope flickers from its farthest chamber.

Away and helpless through the shadows I wander,
Life’s complex and tangly crossroads ushered me to nowhere I wonder,
Befogged and terrified to immerse in the world so gloomy,
Where lies and deceit thrive blinding my eyes that were once invigoratingly dreamy.

I reflected and looked back at how far I’ve walked,
Realizing which direction birds    flew and flocked,
And so I flapped my wings and followed them unmindful how high I’ve flown,
Nestling in a paradise somewhere and unknown.

Deeply awed of the world which truly is a marvel to behold,
A vision of beauty stretches and does dramatically unfold,
A thought dawned on me that this is the land where my heart shall forever hold,
A story of my dream that I’ve dreamt to be told.
