In 9th grade…. I won a writing contest… there was only supposed to be one winner but they decided on 2… Dr Wardell’s class at Parkview junior high school in Cranston, RI. I never thought much of it until I found out the other student went on to become a “real” writer. Sasha Cagen… was just on Dr Phil and came up with the word “quirkyalone” in her books… when I discovered how far she went. I thought maybe I could write a thing or two. Lol so long ago!
And I had an illustrator approach me who wanted to publish a children’s book with me. We did it. All my friends and family bought the book but no one else did! Lol…. so who knows maybe I can’t write really…. “Animals Have Their Say”
Oh well…
Maybe that ninth grade piece was just a stroke of luck….
But I’ll never stop writing… it’s a part of me.
The end.
