1. Support the 1-2% of independent eye glasses companies that still exist. You’ll be helping keep a small company alive and while it might cost a little more, it’ll be made with craftsmanship, last longer, pay those who made it fairly, and save you money in the long run (unless you lose it!).

2. The only shameful thing…is not changing our actions when we have the privilege of information and decline to change, or choose to continue to bring about harm.

3. This is not some hippie, crazy thing—for the sake of your health, skip the plastic tea kettle and choose one that’s metal—inside and out.
