“June is the time for being in the world in new ways, for throwing off the cold and dark spots of life”
We are halfway through 2023. How has your year been so far? June usher in graduations, weddings, Father’s Day, warm summer days and nights. It’s the beginning of summer. It’s the time where flowers are blooming, fairs and festivals are beginning, the yards are green and the sun hits the mountains showing artistry of God. All new things are in bloom. A time for new beginnings.
In thinking of all this, I felt as though I needed to look at new ways to find joy in all things that surround us. Looking at ourselves and others in new ways. Raising the vibration. Breathing in deeper so er can exhale the stagnant air within our bodies. Clean, fresh, new beginnings.
We all struggle with different things. We can choose to stay stuck in the never-ending swirling turmoil or make an effort to search for the brighter things. If you were stuck in a riptide in the ocean, the way to get out is to swim across it. You stay afloat and yell for help. You can swim parallel to the shore to escape the riptide. This allows you to be rescued. Life is very similar to a riptide. I came to this realization the other day. I was disappointed about a situation. It bothered me for 2 days. It affected my mood and my body language. Something that was important to me was dissed by someone close to me. My mind went in strange places. What did I do wrong? Why was I being avoided? I felt as though they were dismissing my point and my feelings. I totally made it about me. Whoa….wait a minute, this is not about me. I had to turn my vibration up otherwise it would have continued to affect me which in turn would affect others. Sunday, I had such a great day. We hosted a gallery reading at Hip Gypsy Emporium. The messages that came through were filled with amazing love from those from the other side. It took me out of my funk. It was a new day. Every day is a new beginning.
I began to think of how I’d like to be remembered. I’d like to think that those who knew me would remember the good times not be stuck in the regrets. But in order for this to happen, it needs to start with me. Every day is a new beginning. Why be stuck in the past? So, if I am saying this I must also live it. Let’s purge out the old gunk and bring in fresh air. When you rearrange a room in your home you find things that you don’t even remember why you have them. You toss them out. You no longer need them. Throwing out the old so that new freshness and new energy, a new glow can come into your home. This is the same for our mind, body and spirit. Why be stuck in passed trauma? Stay afloat and yell for help. Get out of that riptide. Swim to shore in the safety of others.
“June is the time for being in the world in new ways, for throwing off the cold and dark spot of life. “
If June could speak, I think it would say, “let’s go for a walk and drink in the sunshine. Let’s sit by the campfire and watch the lightning bugs. Let’s make memories that will live long after I am on this earth. Come on, let’s see things in new ways to have fun and celebrate life.” That’s what I think June would say.
“Life doesn’t require that we be the best, only that we try our best” – H Jackson Brown, Jr.
That quote takes me back to when I feel regret. I ask myself, “Did I do the best I could with the knowledge I had at the time?” If the answer is yes then there can be no regrets. I have to stop the swirling lies I tell myself of how I failed and look and what I have accomplished. When I was talking about this to a group one of the participants said, “you eat an elephant one bite at a time.” That is exactly right, one bite at a time, one day at a time, one minute at a time. New ways to be thankful for everything we have done, will do and can do.
Let’s look for new ways to be in this world.
Let’s try our best to throw off the cold and dark spots of life to be able to:
Live the life we love and love the life we live.
Blessings for new ways to bring in your light,
Stacey
