Have you ever thought about of your own comeback? Actors, rock stars and athletes have comebacks all the time. They go away for a little bit and emerge more grounded, more focused and better having taken time to learn.
“I watched myself go from the happiest and most outgoing person to fighting every day to heal…So yeah, this comeback is personal”
Decide where you are right now. Have you secluded yourself from the world because of fear or because you are readjusting and evolving? We have many chapters: Happy and confident…New chapter: loss, defeat, secluded…turn the page to quiet, healing and learning to bring in the chapter of The Comeback.
You’ve heard, This time it’s personal. Taking what you’ve learned to grow. We’ve had to reinvent ourselves several times in our lives. We start off as infants having someone to take care of us to toddler where we learn new things to teens year of curiosity and being daring. Then comes the young adult years more reinventing yourself. But what you’ve done is you’ve taken a little bit from each chapter of your life to create who you are. You can be the only one to make yourself feel a certain way. And you can be the one to set yourself free.
Part of the healing process is realizing a piece of me is missing. You’ve lost something or someone. Sometimes things are taken away without any notice. If we stopped at this point our lives would be full of despair. We keep going.
“For only from the ashes of who we were can we truly rise to become who we are to become” This is what a Phoenix represents, coming up from the ashes. The life lessons we experience to become who we are meant to be at any particular moment. It consists of transformation, taking the parts of you, learning growing, evolving. Isn’t that what athletes do? The rewatch their event, they study their competitors, they work on a better mindset and health aspects. Then they comeback stronger and more confident. If it works for athlete, actors, and musicians why wouldn’t it work for you? This is your comeback. Time to walk through the healing. It will be a part of you forever but let’s face it and get past it instead of dwelling in it. Choose not to let it define your entire life.
After saying all of that, I wish I could say, it’s easy. All you have to do is recognize what is stopping you and overcome it. Unfortunately, this takes work, stamina, tears, release but you will comeback a stronger, wiser, more knowledgeable and more open and grateful you. You’ve paused into deep thought, inward journeys, releasing, walking away or walking towards something. Embrace the growth, breaking through to live, be and do more of what you were meant to do.
Have you watched yourself go from being happy and confident to fight to heal every day? It’s difficult but you’re so close to being who you are meant to be right now.
Comeback
I was down * while there, I found * I could rise again * working from the pain * I hadn’t wondered too far * I found myself * I was quiet and still* I realized I’m here, I’m just a different version of me. The Comeback – S. Niedentohl
Are you ready to reveal your great come back? To be happy and confident? To show what you’ve learned from your healing? Walk through the healing. Do it, be it and make a comeback.
For only from the ashes of who we were can we truly rise to who we are to be. Fighting every day to heal. Because it is personal…It’s my comeback!
Blessings
