It all began with a chance encounter—an unexpected twist of fate that would alter the course of my life forever. I was at a crossroads, torn between the familiar comforts of my private practice and the tantalizing allure of something new. As we were strategizing about building my private practice, he simply turned to me and casually said, “Mattie, you need to write.” Now, having experienced the loss of my first husband after 24 years of marriage, I’ve gained a unique perspective on life. I’ve come to understand that nothing is guaranteed, and tomorrow is never promised. Realizing that if I want something to change, it’s up to me, I decided to venture into ghostwriting. And let me tell you, it’s been an incredible journey so far!

With those words ringing in my ears, I embarked on a journey into the unknown. Writing had always been a passion of mine, but now it felt like more than just a hobby—it felt like a calling. And I continue to face challenges and I continue to triumph. For me, success isn’t solely measured by being published; it’s also about the authors I work with and the impact they make in the world. Witnessing their growth and achievements is what truly validates my role as a writer and coach. This is why I write—because I believe in the transformative power of stories to inspire, educate, and empower others.

With victory in hand, I embarked on the final leg of my journey—the return home, bearing the fruits of my labor. Armed with newfound wisdom and a renewed sense of purpose, I set out not only to share my stories with the world but also to amplify the voices of others through my writing.
