“Social media is always incentivizing us to say something catchy, or say something intense, or say something self-righteous to get attention. It’s training us to be annoying, training us to be willing to bully or to marginalize others.

And often when mature, reasonable, caring things are shared, that’s not exciting, right? It’s not nasty, it’s not positivity in a fake, weak way…so it gets ignored.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis 

 ”I am scared that a lot of the social media [platforms] are one decision—by an already corrupt, greedy billionaire—away from shutting down our means of communication. So I think we gotta invest in community. We gotta invest in resistance. We have to invest in connecting in ways that aren’t just on social.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis
