On March 28th, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM local time, all you have to do is turn off everything you own that requires power.

Pretty simple, and yet super effective. Almost 1,200 cities this year have agreed to participate, some big ones including Chicago, Vancouver, and Mumbai.
