3 All-Natural Beauty Products you probably already have in your Kitchen.

Just because we’re “crunchy mamas” or care about holistic health and wellness, that does not mean we don’t like to pamper ourselves.

We want a spa day just as much as the next goddess.

But, we also know that whatever we put on our skin should be chemical-free, and maybe even gentle enough to eat!

Whether you are looking to cut down on some of the toxic chemicals that can be in drugstore brand skin care products, or just on a tight budget, here are some basic food staples you can use on your skin for a healthy glow, that actually work. And the best part is, they are probably already in your kitchen!

1) Raw Honey.

Honey is an amazing antibacterial agent that has been used for quite some time for skin care. You can make a super nourishing and clarifying skin mask out of raw honey. Just take a spoonful or two of raw honey from the jar, and apply directly to your dry face. Allow it to sit for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then remove with a warm wash cloth. Instant glow!

2) Oatmeal.

It doesn’t get much simpler than this scrub. Add water to dry uncooked oatmeal to make a paste, and rub into your skin for a chemical free facial scrub. You can make a full body scrub as well. Rinse with water.

3) Coconut oil.

Is there anything this amazing substance can’t do? I am pretty sure it is a miracle worker. I love using coconut oil for washing my face, with the oil cleansing method. Rub a teeny bit of oil onto dry skin, and remove with a warm wash cloth. I also add tea tree oil and frankincense oil to my mix, but this is just an extra. Plain oil will work, too! You will be amazed at how well it works as an eye make up remover, and how soft and smooth your face feels. You can also use it as a daily moisturizer. Buy a jar specifically for your beauty and skin care use, and you will find this stuff can do pretty much anything.

Feel free to play around with these, making your own skin care products. You can add essential oils or dried lavender to the oatmeal scrub. You can use some sugar with your coconut cleanser for an exfoliant.

These three foods can be used in different combinations to indulge in healthy self-care rituals without hurting your wallet. Enjoy using these affordable-easy to-find skin care products, knowing that what you are putting on your body is safe enough to go in your body!
