Our Twin Flame is not the only soulmate we will meet in this lifetime.
As many of us are experiencing ascension, we also are being drawn toward reuniting with our twin flame. We have been set on fire by the experience, and we have been forever changed by the connection and love of our soul’s other half.
Yet, the reality that many of us find ourselves facing is that only in one of our last lifetimes left on earth are we truly supposed to join each other and live together in love.
For the rest of us, that means we will find our lives torn up and turned around—wondering how on earth someone that we felt such a connection with is also someone who we aren’t meant to be with…in this life.
Although at first it can seem like a difficult challenge, the reality is that just because we have parted from our twin flame does not mean that our time for love in this life is over.
If we meet our twin flame, but go on our separate journeys, it isn’t that somehow we messed things up—it’s that it wasn’t meant to be…this time.
We have to trust the path of our twin, and that means sometimes they come into our lives just to help change the direction of it—not to stay forever.
Our twin flames are unique because of the connection shared, but these unions are also often far from easy or even completely fulfilling. These unions usually are designed to be challenging—not to stop them from happening, but to see how ready each flame is for the power of the connection that will be made, if each makes the choice to love.
It’s overpowering, and sometimes seems like it would be easier to just forget they ever existed in the first place.
But growth doesn’t occur through forgetting, it only happens when we are able to fully process all we’ve been through so we can create the path to where we want to be.
One of the most important aspects to finding love after we’ve separated from our twin flame is to remember that every single person we have romantic relationships with will affect us differently—but that doesn’t mean that, in their own way, they each aren’t our soulmate.
Yes, the connection and chemistry with a twin flame is a once in a lifetime experience, but that doesn’t exclude that there may be another love waiting to manifest—one that will be a better fit for our soul and life. Regardless of the power of the twin flame connection, if one or both flames haven’t yet awakened, then the time spent in the relationship can be grueling and also prevent each person from individually growing and moving forward.
Sometimes the love of our life is not our twin flame, but a soulmate who is able to meet us where we are on our journey and give us what we are looking for in a partner. This isn’t settling—it’s making the choice to fulfill our own needs before those of our twin flame.
The thing that we need to remember is that just because we lost something that felt amazing, it doesn’t mean that we won’t still find something incredible. But we can’t just kiss our twin flame goodbye one day and expect to be able to fall in love the next.
As with any break up or separation, there has to be a grieving process. We must be able to not just get over the emotional disturbance of losing someone who meant a great deal to us, but we also have to be able to process it, so that when we do come out on the other side, we haven’t just covered it up but have made the choice to grow through it.
The act of healing with growth can occur through meditation, journaling and time to just separate enough from the first emotional response so that we can process the experiences of being with our twin in its entirety.
We also could choose to practice rituals of release during the full moon. This can be writing everything down on a piece of paper, folding it three times and letting it burn underneath the full moon—and with it, release whatever emotional or mental weights we’ve been carrying from the experience.
However we go about healing, it’s important to remember that we need to allow ourselves time to do just that—to heal—because we can’t get to the next stage of inviting love into our lives if we are still carrying emotional scars.
Once we have healed and processed, we are ready to open. This means re-opening our hearts, our souls and even our lives to the person who could physically join us on our journey and become the complement to our soul.
Masculine and feminine energies always crave one another—not as in male and female people specifically, but in the essence of the sublime Shiva and Shakti form of divine light and love.
So whether our twin decides to meet us in this life or not—there is no doubt that we are destined for love. Perhaps we won’t find ourselves sharing our lives with our twin, but perhaps what we do find is what will take us where we’re meant to be.
We are light orbs of energy, full of radiating love and vibrating on our own frequency; so regardless of how long it takes or in what form it comes, someone will come along to complement us, and perhaps to show us why it wasn’t meant to work out with our twin flame.
Love comes in many forms, and sometimes we have to take the long way to find it. Yet, it’s not about the length of time it takes us to get where we are supposed to be, but rather why we chose to continue on. Because in the end, whoever is meant for us won’t ever truly leave us—and they won’t need to be chased.
So sometimes, the simplest thing to do is just let go—knowing that someday whatever is meant for us will find its way to us. And when it does—it will stay.
