Winter arrives

in a flurry of snow,

as autumn packs up

her coppery show.

She takes center stage

pirouettes and jetes,

entranced as she dances

her chilled cabaret.

Backstage, spring waits

in a perfect plie,

for winter’s finale

and her turn to play.
