The sunrise breaks

Over the horizon

As my eyes open

And catch the

First pink rays

Of wonder.

I commit my heart

To live each day

With humility, love

And grace

To do no harm

And be of service

To others.

In the hush of evening

As birds fly past

The sun goes down

In a flame

Of beauty.

I commit my soul

To pray and dream

Of a peace so bold

It transforms

The world.
